Rules & Regulations European Streetfishing Cup

Description:

The Reel Busy Fishing European Streetfishing Cup is a team event within Europe - STREETFISHING only. You can fish wherever you want except protected Natural Reserves, Put & Take or Stocking Waters. Reel Busy Fishing wants to give the increasing number of streetfisher the chance to go further, get connected and demonstrate their skills to elect the best Streetfisher in Europe.

Concept:

A team consists of minimum 2, max. 3 fishermen. You are only allowed to fish from the shore (in an urban water, a lake or river outside a city or in the mountains is also ALLOWED).

Boats, kajaks, bellyboats or any other mode of transport that allowes you to fish not from shore is forbidden - STREETFISHING only. Targeted species are 5 zander, 2 perch and 1 pike in total. You compete against all other participating teams. Each fisherman is allowed to fish with one rod only and only ARTIFICIAL LURES are allowed. The tournament will last for three weeks in total. After each week a special amount of teams will be eliminated. The catch of the remaining teams will be zeroed which means you will have to start from the beginning with catching the required longest perch, zander and pike in order to get into the final round in which again each team will start from zero to hero. All the prices are given out to some of the teams battling against each other in the last fishing week (except thanks to sponsors or a huge amount of participants many prizes are collected and can be presented to more teams).

Participation:

In order to participate you will have to register first in the registration form. Please fill out the entire form as described. We need your team name, participants first & family names as well as the team captain's name and adress to which we will send the official European Streetfishing Cup meassure board, special codes and usage information for each fishing day. Around 3-4 months before the competition starts the team captain will get an email from the organization. Attached will be an invoice in which we kindly ask you to pay the entry fee of 60€ per fisherman. After we received your payment you have officially entered in the European Streetfishing Cup 2021 which will be shown on the team page as well. (Please note that we can only refund any cancellations made 6 weeks prior to the starting event minus a 10% administration fee!)

Schedule:

The tournament will take place in October 2021 and will last for three weeks. The exact date will be announced in spring 2021.

Tournament Procedure:

All teams compete against each other from 8 o'clock in the morning until 6pm in the evening of each fishing day. After each day the leaderboard will be updated only once (please accept that it might take a few hours to collect all catch reports of the entire day). Each team will have one week to catch 5 perch, 4 zander and 3 pike to collect their points for the leaderboard. After the first fishing week the last 40% on the leaderboard of all teams will be eliminated from the tournament. The points of the remaining teams will be zeroed. Only these teams will fish the second round again each day from 8 am until 6pm. During this second week again a maximum of 5 perch, 4 zander and 3 pike are needed. After the second fishing week 35% of the remaining teams will be eliminated according to their performance on the leaderboard. The best 25% of all teams battle in the same mode for the WIN of the 2021 REEL BUSY FISHING EUROPEAN STREETFISHING CUP.

Scoring:

There is no preferrence for any of the 3 species regarding your points on the leaderboard. The minimum length of perch is 30cm, zander 50cm and pike 65cm. Each cm will count as 1 point. All cm/points are added together and will signify your final points on the leaderboard. Fish smaller than the required length will not be updated on the leaderboard. You can upgrade your fish as often as you catch a fish longer than your smallest fish of the same specie on the leaderboard.

Only full cm will count (If your catch is 81,4cm long it will count as 81 points. If your fish is 81,5cm long it will count as 82 points).

It is not necessary to catch the entire amount of fish in order to win.

During the entire competition you will find a red line on the leaderboard which indicates the elimination line (all teams under the red line will be eliminated after each fishing week).

Meassuring your catch:

Only fish uploaded on the European Predator Cup meassure board will count. Each morning before the competiton starts you will get an information which code has to be used that day. You will find a special place where to put the code only. When taking the picture with the fish on the meassure board we always have to see the code - otherwise we will have to reject your catch. The fish has to lie left flank up and head directly touching the boarder at the beginning of the meassure board. You are allowed to squeeze the tail fin as some of you will do it anyway as long as you don't harm the fish (the margin of queezing/nonsqueezing the tail fin is fluent that's why we accept it).

You have to take the picture of a direct (STRAIGHT!) position to the fish on the meassure board. Pictures taken at an angle will be rejected!

Uploaded fish obviously not touching the beginning of the leaderboard will be rejected.

Uploaded fish with blood or covered in sand, with leaves or full of mud will be rejected.

Please keep to the rules, play fair and don't harm the fish because any violation of the official European Streetfishing Cup rules will lead to a rejection of your well deserved catch!

Uploading your catch:

You will find a special upload page during the event only on which you will have to enter your team number and team name, person who caught the fish, fish specie, length and 2 pictures - one with the fish on the meassure board and another picture in which you show us your big catch. At the end you submit the uploaded data and receive a note that the upload was successfully. We will check your catch, meassurements, right code, etc. and add your points to your team.

Allowed Fishing Tackle:

You are allowed to fish with one rod per person at the same time only. Only artificial lures are allowed. Worms, maggots, dead fish, allive fish, mealworn, insects or any other type of non artificial lures are forbidden. Please take care of the environment and rules & regulations of each water you fish in.

Obligations:

You always have to fish according to the official local rules and laws of the water, fishing clubs, region or country you live in. Of course you always have to act according to the Reel Busy Fishing European Streetfishing Cup rules and regulations mentioned on this page. Reel Busy Fishing can not be held responsible if you intentionally or unintentionally violate any official rules or laws.

European Streetfishing Ticket:

Around 3-4 months prior to the event each team captain will receive an email from the organization. Attached you will find an invoice in which we kindly ask you to pay the ticket for final participation. Each participant will have to pay an entry fee of 60€. After we received your payment you are officially entered to the event. You will see a notification on the team page if you have paid or not.
